Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong Seeks National Chief Imam’s Blessings Ahead of NPP Re-Election Bid

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to seek his spiritual guidance and blessings ahead of his re-election bid.
Accompanied by key party executives—including Deputy General Secretary Prof. Haruna Mohammed and Greater Accra Regional Chairman Divine Otoo Agorhom—Kodua met the revered Islamic leader at his residence to officially inform him of his decision to seek a renewed mandate.
Reflecting on his initial campaign for the position, Kodua recalled how many viewed his candidacy as an uphill battle. He attributed his ultimate victory to God’s grace and the prayers of the Chief Imam, which sustained his leadership during a challenging political period for the party.
“Your Eminence, you blessed me when I first sought this office, and by the grace of God, those prayers were answered. I have come once again to seek your blessings. Bless me to retain my seat, and I will work with all my strength to make your son, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the next President of the Republic of Ghana,” Kodua stated.
While acknowledging the NPP’s loss in the 2024 general election, Kodua expressed firm conviction that the party is positioned to reorganize, rebuild, and secure power under the leadership of Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The visit concluded with special prayers offered by Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu for Justin Kodua, Dr. Bawumia, the NPP leadership, and the continued peace and prosperity of Ghana.
