Three Dead, 11 Injured After Two Vehicles Collide at Ajumako Kokoben

Three people have died, while eleven others sustained injuries following a head-on collision involving two vehicles at Ajumako Kokoben in the Central Region.
The accident occurred on Monday, July 20, 2026, and involved an Isuzu pickup truck with registration number GE 1361-25 and a Toyota Voxy registered CN 478-26.
Preliminary investigations by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) indicate that the Toyota Voxy was allegedly overtaking another vehicle at high speed when poor visibility caused by dust led to a collision with the oncoming Isuzu pickup.
Firefighters who responded to the scene rescued four victims who were trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Seven other victims had already been rescued by bystanders before the arrival of the emergency team.
The injured persons were handed over to a medical team for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
