Arsenal are reportedly exploring a move for Atletico Madrid and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old striker is believed to be a priority target for the Gunners, with the club hoping to complete a deal before the start of pre-season preparations.
Elsewhere in the transfer market, Aston Villa are close to securing the signing of Freiburg and Switzerland midfielder Johan Manzambi. The 20-year-old had previously been expected to join Newcastle before Villa moved ahead in the race for his signature.
