The atmosphere at KNUST Lienda Ville reached fever pitch on Wednesday night as over 1,000 football-loving fans gathered for Lawson Media’s World Cup live match screening, creating an unforgettable night of passion, tension, and celebration as Ghana secured a dramatic victory over Panama.
Although earlier fixtures featuring Portugal vs DR Congo and England vs Croatia set the tone for an exciting football evening, attention gradually shifted to the most anticipated clash of the night — Ghana against Panama.
With kick-off scheduled for 11:00 pm Ghana time, supporters filled the Lienda Ville venue in their numbers, turning the area into a vibrant sea of red, gold, and green. The massive turnout reflected the deep excitement surrounding the Black Stars’ performance, as fans united to experience the match together on the big screen.
The first half proved challenging for Ghana supporters. Panama looked the more composed side, controlling possession and dictating play, but they were unable to convert their dominance into clear goal-scoring chances, leaving the Black Stars firmly in contention.
After the break, however, Ghana returned with renewed energy and determination.
The Black Stars found their rhythm in the second half, taking control of proceedings and pressing forward with purpose in search of a breakthrough. Every move forward was met with loud cheers from the packed crowd, who remained firmly behind the team.
