John Dramani Mahama will co-chair the High-Level segment of the global One Health Summit alongside Emmanuel Macron, placing Ghana at the forefront of international efforts to strengthen health systems and address emerging global threats.

The summit will convene world leaders, health ministers, and global experts to discuss coordinated strategies on public health, sustainable food systems, and disease prevention, reflecting the urgent need for cross-border health solutions.

Mahama, founder of the Accra Reset Initiative, is scheduled to deliver two keynote addresses. His first will take place during a session on global health architecture, co-chaired by Macron and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, focusing on reforms to global health systems and culminating in the expected endorsement of a political declaration to enhance international health cooperation.

His second keynote will open the High-Level segment for Heads of State and government, where he will present Ghana’s vision for global health security. Mahama’s address will emphasize collaborative, cross-sector approaches to tackling emerging health threats, showcasing Ghana’s leadership in advancing global health initiatives.
