The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the dismissal of Otto Addo as head coach of the senior national team, the Ghana national football team.

The decision follows Ghana’s back-to-back defeats in international friendly matches against Austria and Germany in March, as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In an official statement, the GFA confirmed that it has parted ways with Addo with immediate effect. The Association expressed appreciation for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors.

Addo, who previously served as an assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund, departs amid ongoing efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The GFA indicated that it will announce a new technical direction for the Black Stars in due course, as preparations for the tournament continue.
