NDC Chairman Recruits 8 Helicopter Crash Rescuers Into Security Services
NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia rewards eight local heroes for their role in the tragic crash recovery.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), has confirmed that eight residents who assisted during the Sikaman-Brofoyedu helicopter crash have been recruited into the security services, among other benefits.
This promise was made during a thank-you tour of Adansi and its surrounding areas, particularly Obuasi West.
The residents played a crucial role in recovering the bodies of eight prominent individuals, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, who were on board the ill-fated helicopter.
The government has also provided GH¢100,000 to the rescuers and GH¢20,000 to the Adansi Traditional Council to support traditional rites.
Additionally, authorities have pledged to complete community centers and improve road infrastructure in the area.
