Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang visited the site of the collapsed building at Accra Experimental Basic School in New Town following the tragic incident on Sunday.

The collapse of the uncompleted structure, reportedly used for Christian worship on Sundays, has resulted in three deaths, while 20 people are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.

Personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces and the National Disaster Management Organisation are clearing debris after successful search and rescue operations. The area has been cordoned off to ensure the safety of the teams.

Accompanied by the Minister for Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed deep sorrow over the incident, extended condolences to the bereaved families, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The Vice President also visited the victims receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital.
