Eleven people were injured in a head-on collision on the Accra–Kumasi Highway, the Ghana National Fire Service has confirmed.

The accident occurred on March 23 at Frimpongso Junction near Enyiresi, involving a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Voxy. The injured include six males and five females, with varying degrees of injuries.

Emergency teams from the Anyinam Fire Station were dispatched at 17:27 hours. Upon arrival, responders found that bystanders had already assisted in rescuing the victims, who were quickly transported to the Enyiresi Government Hospital for urgent treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest the crash occurred when the Toyota Camry driver attempted to overtake another vehicle, colliding head-on with the oncoming Toyota Voxy.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, with repair costs estimated at approximately GH₵170,000 and salvage expenses around GH₵350,000.
