The Adenta Circuit Court 1 has remanded Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Conduah into police custody over alleged possession of indecent images of a child.
Rev. Conduah, 45, faces charges of possessing indecent images of a child under Section 62 of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 and dealing with a child for the purpose of sexual abuse. The court, presided over by Mrs. Sedinam Awo Kwadam, did not take a plea and remanded him pending further investigations. He is expected to reappear on March 27, 2026.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Fuseini Yakubu, representing the prosecution, requested the remand to allow further investigations.
The Cyber Security Authority, which arrested Rev. Conduah at his residence in Woraba, Eguase, Cape Coast on March 6, 2026, discovered child sexual abuse materials during forensic analysis of his digital devices.
Investigations revealed multiple videos of child victims, including one showing a naked child holding a card labeled “xvidoes.com,” with a male voice instructing the child to identify the platform. Rev. Conduah allegedly admitted that the voice in the videos was his. The victim in the videos corresponds to a case already pending at the Cape Coast Circuit Court.
A search of his residence recovered five mobile phones, two hard drives, two memory cards, a computer system unit, sex toys, and female underwear. The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, confirmed the arrest on X, praising the Cyber Security Team for uncovering the material and stressing that cyber law violators will be held accountable.
Analysis of the devices is ongoing as authorities continue their investigation.
