The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into allegations of unauthorised mobile money withdrawal following the circulation of a viral video online.

Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to examine claims that some police personnel in Kibi allegedly withdrew GH₵400,000 from a mobile money account belonging to a local mobile money agent without authorisation.

According to a statement shared on the official social media handles of the Ghana Police Service, the victim has been contacted and is cooperating fully with the investigation.

The Ghana Police Service assured the public that the outcome of the probe will be communicated once concluded, emphasizing its commitment to transparency and accountability in handling the matter.
