Two suspected robbers are in critical condition after being shot by police in the Ashanti Region while attempting to rob the home of a Court of Appeal Judge.
The suspects, reportedly armed with cutlasses and scissors, allegedly tried to break into the judge’s vehicle on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, when they were confronted by a police officer on guard duty at the residence.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command confirmed that the officer discharged his weapon in response to the threat, injuring the two suspects.
The suspects are currently receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital under police guard, while authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
