Leading figures of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) gathered to support Sammy Gyamfi and his family at the one-week observance of his late father-in-law, Andrews Kwame Amankwah.

Among the prominent attendees were the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, alongside other senior party executives and government appointees.

The solemn ceremony attracted a large crowd of sympathisers and members of the public who joined the bereaved family to mourn the late Mr. Amankwah.

He was reportedly killed in a robbery attack, an incident that has deeply shaken the family and sparked concern within sections of the political community.

The First Lady led a delegation of government officials to the event, while Mr. Asiedu Nketiah arrived in the company of members of the party’s national executive, underscoring the NDC’s show of solidarity with Mr. Gyamfi and his family.
