George Oti Bonsu, founder of The Base for Kennedy Agyapong, has delivered a scathing critique of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing it as “totally fake” and accusing its current leadership of collapsing the party.

Speaking on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Lawson TV with hosts Kwame Tanko and Franko the Hitter, on Monday, February 16, 2026, Mr. Oti Bonsu reacted to Prof. Frimpong-Boateng’s earlier description of the NPP as a “fake party” that has lost its identity.

“I saw it earlier on, but I wanted to wait a while before speaking,” he said. “As a financier of the party, I can say ,totally fake, fake, the party is indeed fake.”

He questioned whether the NPP leadership would have acted differently if Kennedy Agyapong had won the party’s presidential primaries, implying that Agyapong’s leadership would have preserved the party’s credibility.

Mr. Oti Bonsu also criticised the NPP’s administration’s approach to governance, saying he would not vote for a president who promises one thing and delivers another, citing examples like promises to build schools and construct toilets that he claims remain unfulfilled.

Declaring himself no longer an NPP member, Mr. Oti Bonsu said, “I am a former member. It is time for Kennedy Agyapong to be president.”

He called on all supporters of The Base for Kennedy Agyapong to unite and “rise up to rescue Ghana,” emphasising the urgency of rallying behind Agyapong as a transformative leader.
