NDC Set to Hold Ayawaso East Stronghold as Poll Predicts Easy By-Election Victory
Poll shows Hajia Amina Adams and Baba Jamal well ahead of NPP’s Baba Ali as NDC looks set to maintain control of Ayawaso East in March 2026 by-election.

A fresh survey by Global InfoAnalytics indicates that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is well positioned to maintain control of the Ayawaso East parliamentary seat in the March 2026 by-election.
The poll suggests that whichever candidate emerges from the NDC’s ongoing parliamentary primary is likely to secure a decisive win over the New Patriotic Party (NPP) contender in the constituency.
According to the findings, Hajia Amina Adams would defeat the NPP’s Baba Ali with a commanding 73% of voter support in a direct contest. In a separate scenario, Baba Jamal also records a strong lead, polling 67% against Baba Ali’s 33%.
The results were shared by Global InfoAnalytics Executive Director Mussa Dankwah in a Facebook post on Thursday, February 5.
The survey further highlights Hajia Amina Adams as the current favourite in the NDC’s internal race ahead of the by-election. She leads the primary field with 58% support, while Baba Jamal follows with 32%.
Other aspirants in the contest Muhammed Ramne, Dr. Yakubu Azindow, and Najib Muhammed Sani trail behind with 5%, 3%, and 2% respectively, according to the poll.
