The Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has forecast a commanding victory for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries slated for Saturday, January 31.
According to the projection, Dr. Bawumia is expected to emerge victorious in 14 out of the party’s 16 regions, with a particularly strong showing anticipated in the Ashanti Region, widely regarded as the NPP’s electoral stronghold.
Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, January 28, Mussa Dankwah expressed firm confidence in the outcome, stating that all indicators from their analysis point decisively in Dr. Bawumia’s favour.
“Our data is consistent and clear. Everything we have examined leads to one conclusion — Dr. Bawumia is poised to win this election, and quite comfortably,” he said, predicting a possible “one-touch” victory.
Global InfoAnalytics’ statistical model places Dr. Bawumia’s expected vote share between 54 and 60 per cent, taking into account a three per cent margin of error. Dankwah explained that even at the lowest projection, the former Vice President remains well ahead of the competition.
He attributed the strength of the forecast to the stability of the data, noting minimal fluctuations and what he described as “no noise” in the figures.
While acknowledging that other aspirants, including Dr. Bryan Acheampong and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, could make gains, Dankwah indicated that the way their support bases intersect makes it difficult to predict how votes will be split among them.
The NPP 2026 Presidential Primaries Prediction Survey was carried out between January 20 and January 23, 2026, involving 10,133 respondents nationwide. The poll spanned all 16 regions and covered 272 constituencies across the country.
