Tyson Fury will return to the ring on 11 April when he faces Arslanbek Makhmudov in the UK, ending his latest period of retirement from boxing.

The bout, which will be streamed on Netflix, will mark Fury’s first fight since his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch in December 2024. The former heavyweight world champion announced his retirement a month later before confirming his comeback earlier this month.

“I’m excited to be back,” said Fury. “My heart has always been in boxing and always will be. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back.”

Fury, 37, has been a professional since 2008 and remains one of the sport’s biggest names despite his recent setback.

His opponent, Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov, is 36 and boasts a strong record, having won 21 of his 23 professional fights. Makhmudov’s most recent outing came in October, when he defeated Britain’s Dave Allen.
