Presidential aspirant Dr. Bryan Acheampong has declared his confidence in a decisive victory in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming flagbearer primary.

Speaking after signing a peace pact in Accra on Thursday, January 22, Dr. Acheampong told reporters, “Hands down. I am saying hands down. You will see.”

He attributed his confidence to an extensive nationwide campaign over the past four months, noting that he had already completed his main campaign tour and was in the process of “mopping up” remaining regions.

“I have been around the country. I have campaigned very hard in the last four months. I am the first person to have finished my campaign to start a mop-up in some regions of this country,” he said.

Dr. Acheampong also highlighted his decades of electoral experience as an advantage.

“I have been in elections since 1992. If you will win you will know. If you will lose you will know and if you have to fear delegates you will know,” he said.

He expressed faith in a strong showing at the polls, adding, “I know what’s going on and I know God is going to give me a big win next weekend.”

With less than ten days to the NPP primaries, Dr. Acheampong’s confident stance signals a vigorous push for the party’s flagbearer slot ahead of the 2028 general elections.
