The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Asante Kotoko duo Abdul Karim Zito and Prince Yaw Owusu following their performance in the weekend match against Bibiani GoldStars.

According to the committee, the pair breached Article 12(1)(i) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, reportedly for unsporting behaviour towards match officials during the goalless draw against the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.

The match, which saw Kotoko have a goal disallowed due to a foul in the opposition box, left the club frustrated and led to the disciplinary action.

Both Zito and Owusu have been given until Wednesday, January 21, 2026, to respond to the charges.

The draw against GoldStars saw Asante Kotoko drop to fourth place on the league table, trailing league leaders Medeama by eight points.
