The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has scheduled a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election for Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

This follows a Tamale High Court directive on November 24, 2025, ordering the rerun to be held within thirty days.

The Commission’s action was also prompted by a formal notification from the Clerk to Parliament on December 9, 2025, declaring the constituency’s parliamentary seat vacant.

In a press release, the EC confirmed that the rerun will feature only the three candidates who contested the original 2024 election in Kpandai, ensuring the rerun is a continuation of the disputed poll.

Fred Tetteh, EC Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Department, urged the public to take note of the new date and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to conducting the election with transparency, fairness, and integrity.
