awyer William Kusi, Ashanti Regional Communications Director for the Kennedy Agyapong Campaign, has expressed strong confidence that Kennedy Agyapong will be the best president Ghana has ever had, citing his pragmatic approach to leadership and policy-driven agenda.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tanko on the Ghana Se Sen Show, Lawyer Kusi stated that Kennedy Agyapong has always been a democrat and will accept the outcome of a fair election. “This time, there will be no complaints. We are campaigning hard,” he emphasized.
Lawyer Kusi noted the significance of Kennedy Agyapong’s entry into the presidential race, drawing parallels with past leaders.
According to him, past first-time candidates such as Busia, J.J Rawlings, and even Akufo-Addo won on their first attempt, highlighting that a first-time NPP candidate winning the presidency is possible despite the challenges.
He pointed out that the party had previously lost seats, such as Assin Central in 2024 after Kennedy Agyapong did not contest.
On the type of leadership Ghana needs, Lawyer Kusi was clear.
He criticized the tendency to elect leaders based on appearance or eloquence: “It is slave mentality to elect a leader who speaks big grammar. We have tried it and failed. It is not about suits and ties; it is about work. We need pragmatic leaders who can deliver results.”
Highlighting Kennedy Agyapong’s policy focus, Kusi said: “We will change Ghana. We will create jobs, and people will get money into their pockets. Kennedy Agyapong is going to be the best president for Ghana. Ghana will thrive.”
On the political dynamics, Lawyer Kusi noted the incumbency advantage of the current , Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who has served for eight years, but emphasized that Kennedy Agyapong’s approach makes a first-time victory possible: “Kennedy Agyapong will be the first NPP candidate to win the election on his first attempt.”
