A tragic accident along the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region has claimed two lives and left six others injured. The crash occurred at Kwasu around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, when a Toyota Voxy (AS 6403-25) reportedly veered off the road.
Fire Service personnel from the Bechem Fire Station promptly responded to the emergency call. Led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe, the rescue team collaborated with the National Ambulance Service and Police to retrieve victims and clear the wreckage.

The vehicle was severely mangled, making rescue operations challenging. Emergency teams had to employ specialised tools to free some of the trapped passengers.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, two of the eight occupants died at the scene, while the remaining six were transported to Bechem Government Hospital for medical attention.
