BREAKING: Eight Feared Dead as Helicopter Crashes and Bursts Into Flames in Adansi Brofoyedu
Four persons are feared dead after a helicopter flying the Accra–Obuasi route crashed into a tree and burst into flames at Adansi Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday morning.

A helicopter flying its usual Accra–Obuasi route crashed into a tree and was completely consumed by flames in Adansi Brofoyedu, Ashanti Region, on the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
According to local authorities, including Assembly Member Matthew Baah, residents heard a loud crash followed by eerie silence. When they reached the site, the aircraft was already in flames, leaving it burned beyond recognition.
According to a statement from the Ghana Armed Forces, there were three crew members and five passengers on board, as dismembered body parts were found scattered at the crash site.
The identities of the victims remain unconfirmed at this stage
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, though Mr. Baah suspects adverse weather may have contributed to the tragic accident.
