The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the official fixture list for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, with the much-anticipated clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko SC scheduled for Match Day 5 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The return encounter will be held on Match Day 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The two powerhouses of Ghanaian football, known for their fierce rivalry and passionate fan bases, are expected to draw national attention as they battle for early dominance in the new season.

Defending champions Gold Stars FC will kick off their campaign at home against Bechem United, while Hearts of Oak begin their season against newly promoted Hohoe United. Asante Kotoko travel to face Berekum Chelsea in their opening game.

This year’s league, set to begin on September 12, 2025, will conclude on the weekend of May 23–24, 2026, ahead of the FIFA World Cup in June. The fixture alignment ensures Ghana’s top-flight competition ends before the global showpiece.

Other key fixtures include regional rivalries such as the Volta Derby between Hohoe United and Heart of Lions, which will take place on Match Day 17, with the reverse fixture scheduled for the final day of the season (Match Day 34) in Kpando.

The 2025/26 calendar also features Brong Ahafo derbies, with Young Apostles, Aduana Stars, Bechem United, and Berekum Chelsea set to battle across several key matchdays.

The GFA has emphasized a structured calendar with weekend games and reserved midweek slots for any outstanding fixtures, continuing the approach from last season.

With the full schedule now public, clubs and supporters are gearing up for what promises to be another thrilling season of Ghanaian top-flight football.
