Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson on Thursday, July 24, 2025, delivered the 2025 Mid-Year Budget and Economic Policy Statement of the John Dramani Mahama-led administration in Parliament.
The presentation was in accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
This marks Dr. Forson’s second budget statement since taking office and his first mid-year review under the current administration. The statement provided an update on Ghana’s economic performance in the first half of the year, including key fiscal indicators and proposed adjustments to the 2025 Budget.
The Minister addressed critical areas such as economic growth trends, revenue and expenditure performance, public financing, debt sustainability, and key reform measures aimed at stabilizing and transforming the economy.
