Wa Amass Final-Year Student Stabbed to Death by Friend Over Phone Video Dispute

- Final-year student stabbed after dispute over unauthorized video
- Suspect arrested as police prevent further violence on campus
- Victim hospitalized in critical but stable condition; investigations ongoing
A disturbing altercation at Wa T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School on Tuesday night has left a final-year student critically injured following a dispute over a phone recording.
The victim, Iddrisu Ibrahim—popularly known as Lincoln—a Year 3 Agricultural Science student from Bulenga, was reportedly stabbed by his friend, Hafis (aka Baayaawa), a General Arts student from Bawku.
Eyewitnesses say tensions flared after Hafis discovered that Lincoln had recorded a video of him without consent. He demanded the footage be deleted, but Lincoln allegedly refused and mocked the threat of violence. In response, Hafis is said to have drawn a knife and stabbed Lincoln in the ribs and abdomen.
Following the incident, Hafis tried to escape but was arrested by police before a group of students could retaliate. Lincoln, bleeding and injured, managed to walk toward the school library before collapsing. He was rushed to the Wa Regional Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
A witness recounted the harrowing scene: “When Lincoln came out, the knife was still in his body. Some students pulled it out before taking him to the hospital.”
Police have launched an investigation, and the school has heightened security while authorities prepare an official response.
