President Mahama Launches Adwumawura Programme in Ashanti Region Today
10,000 Businesses Annually: Mahama Launches Job Creation Initiative
President John Dramani Mahama is today, Monday, April 28, 2025, launching the Adwumawura programme in the Ashanti Region.
This initiative, a central promise of the government, aims to facilitate the establishment of at least 10,000 businesses annually, with a particular emphasis on empowering the youth and addressing the country’s unemployment challenges.
The government has stated that the Adwumawura programme fulfills a key component of its 120-day social contract with the Ghanaian people.
In addition to the Adwumawura launch, President Mahama is also scheduled to launch the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama Cares) and the National Apprenticeship Programme this week, further expanding the government’s efforts to create opportunities and improve social welfare.
