Ghanaian music legend Kojo Antwi has paid a heartfelt visit to the family of the late highlife icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, to express his condolences and honor his memory.

Accompanied by close friends and family, Kojo Antwi visited Daddy Lumba’s private residence at Kinshasha Crescent, where a book of condolence has been opened for mourners to pay their respects.

In an emotional tribute, Kojo Antwi described the loss as deeply painful, calling Daddy Lumba a brother and fellow cultural trailblazer.

He shared that the passing of the legendary musician was not just a personal loss but a blow to Ghana’s music and cultural heritage. He expressed confidence that Daddy Lumba’s legacy would endure for generations.

Kojo Antwi extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, the music and tourism industry, and fans around the world who continue to mourn the iconic singer’s passing.

Daddy Lumba, known for his rich contribution to Ghana’s highlife genre, reportedly died on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a brief illness.

The book of condolence remains open at his East Legon residence, located at House Number 12, GA 332-9264, East Legon, Accra.

According to the Fosu family, the official condolence signing will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, followed by a candlelight vigil on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Independence Square, organized under the auspices of the Creative Arts Agency.
